Our Head Chef, creates regularly changing seasonal menus, using the best British seasonal produce, sourced locally whenever possible.  Our menu can be described as modern British cooked to perfection.

We offer a seasonal menu on Wednesday to Saturday lunch and dinner.  In addition to this menu, we also offer a Bar Snacking menu which includes small and large plates.  Sandwiches are served Wednesday to Saturday lunch 12pm to 2:30pm.  Our 2 Course Set Lunch Menu is available Wednesday to Saturday for £22.  Every Wednesday we have Steak Night.  Every Thursday is Burger Night; burger and house drink offer only £15.95.    Our Sunday menu offers a choice of roasts and other delicious main dishes and is available from 12pm to 6:15pm.  Booking is highly recommended as ‘Best Sunday roast in St Albans’ is often quoted!

Please book online for tables of up to 5 people.  For tables of 6 or more, please email info@thecockinnstalbans.co.uk.  Please note that as we have a small restaurant, a deposit of £10 per person is required for tables of six or more.

Our 3 Course Christmas Party Menu is available from Thursday November 27th until Wednesday December 24th (£39.95 per person).  A deposit of £10 per person is required.  A Pre Order Form will be emailed to all confirmed reservations.  Please note that we are closed on Christmas Day to give our team a day with their families.

Our restaurant seats 32 people and can be reserved exclusively for private dinner functions.  We offer bespoke menus, buffet and canape options.
